This holy town is famous for kalyana mantapas and also for a yakshagana troupe This town has a high school, primary school and a ITI, vijaya bank and sydicate bank. Mallya's cloth store is famous shop for generations. Hebbars' departmental store. there are famous temples nearby i.e. Kukkehalli, kallangala, Aaladka, Padapally, nooji, kukkundi, Balebaile, shivapura, shiroor etc.

IT IS VERY FAMOUS TEMPLE IN AND AROUND THE REGIOS OF BRAHMAVAR TALUK. EVERY MONTH SANKRANTHI IS CELEBRATED. PEOPE OFFER BANAN IN 100O NUMBERS AND THEN DISTRIBUTE THE SAME TO ALL PEOPLE AS PRASADAM. IN PERDDOR IT IS FAMOUS OF THIS VERY OLD TEMPLE AND RELIGIOUS PLACE.

Founder of the Hotel is late Shri Narahari Kini somewhere 70-75 years back. Serving pure vegetarian, delcious and fresh south indian snaks, but no lunch. Later it was managed by his son late Shri Vittaldas Kini, and at that time is very famous and called as Kiniyar Chay ( Kini's Tea). Now it is looked after by his son Mr Ramesh Kini. It is open at 6.30 a.m. and till 7.30 p.m. food is served.
